"...without a life story, a child is adrift, disconnected and vulnerable."

Therapeutic Life Story Work
Finding Ways can provide therapeutic life story work on behalf of Ofsted registered Adoption and/or Fostering Agencies.
This service is designed to help children make sense of fragmented life histories where [often] they have experienced trauma or neglect, and insecure attachments.
Therapeutic life story work involves open and honest conversations with children where sometimes difficult information is relayed sensitively and in an age appropriate way. Creative techniques are frequently used to help a child express difficult thoughts and complex emotions and to help them safely process or make sense of their story.
Therapeutic life story work aims to help restore a child's sense of identity and current belonging through hopeful and positive narrative.
